Terms of service.

These terms apply when you book any session or package with Flourish with Dr Lolu. By booking and paying, you agree to them.

Who we are

What coaching is, and what it is not

Flourish offers lifestyle coaching and health education, led by a doctor. It is not medical treatment, and Dr Lolu does not act as your doctor in these sessions.

  • I don't diagnose, prescribe, order tests, or change or stop medication.

  • Your own doctors remain responsible for your medical care. Please keep them informed, especially before making significant changes to what you eat or how you exercise if you take medication for diabetes, blood pressure or anything else.

  • If something you tell me needs medical attention, I'll say so and ask you to see your doctor.

  • Coaching is not therapy or crisis support.

  • In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. In the UK, call 999 or 111, or go to A&E. Elsewhere, call your local emergency number.

Booking and sessions

  • Everything starts with a free 15-minute Explore call. After that, I'll send you the link to book and pay.

  • Sessions are one to one by video and last up to 60 minutes. They start and finish at the booked time, so if you join late, the session will be shorter.

  • Before your first session you fill in a detailed questionnaire. Please answer it honestly and fully, because the session is built on what you tell me.

  • Please join from a quiet, private place where you won't be interrupted.

Support between sessions

Unearth and Thrive include WhatsApp voice note support between sessions. I'll reply within 2 working days. WhatsApp is not for urgent medical problems: for those, contact your doctor or emergency services.

Fees and payment

  • Prices are shown on the website or given to you on your free call. You pay in full when you book: in pounds by card through Stripe, or in naira through Paystack.

  • Your price is fixed when you pay. Moving a session to a later date doesn't change it.

  • Package sessions are to be used within the package period: three months for Unearth and six months for Thrive. Sessions not used by then expire unless we have agreed otherwise.

Cancellations and refunds

  • At least 48 hours' notice: you can move your session at no cost, or cancel for a full refund.

  • Less than 48 hours' notice, or if you don't join within 15 minutes of the start: the session counts as used and isn't refunded. If something serious and unavoidable happens, such as illness or a bereavement, message me and we'll sort something out.

  • Stopping a package part way through: you can ask for a refund of the unused balance before the package period ends. Sessions you've already had are charged at the standard single-session price and the rest is refunded.

  • Your 14-day right to cancel: because you book online, UK consumer law gives you 14 days, starting the day after you pay, to change your mind. If you book a session within those 14 days, you are asking me to start within the cancellation period. You can still cancel before it, paying only for any part of the service already provided, but once a session has taken place it can't be cancelled. For packages cancelled within the 14 days, sessions already had are charged at the package rate. Where these rules and your legal rights differ, your legal rights come first.

  • If I cancel: you can choose a new time, or have a full refund for that session.

  • To move or cancel, email enquire@flourishwithdrlolu.co.uk or message me on WhatsApp. Refunds are paid within 14 days, by the method and in the currency you paid.

Confidentiality and records

  • What you share with me stays confidential. I'll only share it with your written consent, or if the law or a safeguarding concern requires it, for example a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.

  • I keep brief notes of our sessions: dates, goals, agreed actions and main themes. They are stored securely and kept for seven years, then deleted. My privacy policy explains how your information is handled.

Testimonials

I will only use your words in my marketing with your written permission, and only in the form you have agreed to.

Your part

  • Give honest and complete information, and tell me if anything about your health changes.

  • Take part fully, and take responsibility for the choices you make.

  • Keep your doctors informed, as above.

Results

I'll give you my full attention and my best guidance, but I can't guarantee particular results. What changes depends on many things, including what you put into it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else the law doesn't allow to be limited. Otherwise, my total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid for the service concerned.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you book is the one that applies to that booking.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
